To all of our Florida-based Sun Sports and FSN Florida Crew Members:

As we continue planning for another year of live sports coverage on Sun Sports and FSN Florida, we want to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued dedication and contributions to our networks. Our goal is to deliver high quality regional coverage to our viewers, and having the right people involved is an important first step.

With that said, here are a few items we want to be sure you’re aware:

Pay Increases: Effective September 1, 2007, we will implement a 3% increase across all freelance job categories. Our crewing staff will be communicating the new rates to you when you are booked for your next event.

Stand Alone Visitor Feeds: We wanted to let you know of some operational changes related to how we’ll be facilitating visitor feeds this season. To streamline the process Mobile TV Group, our vendor for trucks will become the primary contact for visitor feed broadcasters producing stand alone feeds. They will handle facilities, crewing and payment of crews for these productions. Sun Sports/FSN Florida‘s production department will continue to be the primary contact for all dual feed productions, including booking and paying crews. Mobile TV Group is well equipped to handle these duties in Florida given their regular participation providing facilities and crew for visitor feeds of Florida Marlins and Tampa Bay Rays. In order to make this transition as seamless as possible, the Mobile TV Group will follow our new pay rates for stand alone visitor feeds, and they will also follow the Sun Sports/FSN Florida policies regarding crew meals and parking. Sun Sports/FSN Florida will also immediately provide MTVG with our visitor feed crew assignments. Please note, this new procedure is for NBA and NHL visitor feeds only. There will be no changes to Marlins or Rays visitor feed crewing procedures going forward.

Equipment Memo: Please read the memo regarding lost, missing and/or broken equipment on Mobile TV Group trucks. This is important information that requires everyone’s help and attention.

Again, thank you for your continued support. Should you ever have any questions or concerns about the working environment or terms we provide, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly. We’re all working together to reach our goals and open communication is the only way to ensure we’re lock-step in the process.
