During the past few months there has been an increase in the amount of lost, missing and/or broken equipment on many FSN productions across the country. The items have ranged from small adaptors to broken camera lenses. As you can imagine, the costs associated with repairing and replacing equipment are significant.
If you are working on an event, part of your assignment is to care for and protect the equipment provided as if it were your own. As such, please always keep the gear secure and treat it carefully to avoid damage.
We’re confident that with a renewed focus we’ll see a decrease loss and damage. We remind everyone also that as our Standards and Business Conduct lays out, negligent or careless conduct -- whether it results in damage/loss or not -- may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of future employment.
For the majority of you who take care of everything, thanks for continuing your good habits. And thank you also for helping us produce high quality television night-in and night-out.
